Public Inspection File Nets Company $22K In Fines

Joule Broadcasting in South Carolina had its licenses renewed for WJXY-FM in Conway and WXJY-FM in Georgetown but not before the FCC slapped the stations with $22,000 in fines for failing to keep issues/programs lists in the public file.

WJXY was hit with a $10,000 fine and WXJY $12,000. The Commission found that Joule was unable to locate reports for 10 quarters in 2004-2007. Due to personnel changes at all levels of management and staff there is no one employed currently at the station who had knowledge of the reports prior to 2008.
