Alpha Media Topeka, KS, has announced that Lenz’s induction into the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame will take place on October 9. Lenz has been a leader and innovator in the farm broadcast industry for the past 38 years. In 1978, he was hired as Assistant Farm Director for WIBW, and a year later became Farm Director. In 1983, he started the Ag Issues program on WIBW, one of the first agricultural talk shows in the nation. Lenz also began an annual agricultural conference for farmers and ranchers. The conference is now held in four different locations and has more than 725 producers in attendance.

“I am humbled and honored to receive this special recognition,” said Lenz. “Our mission as broadcasters is to serve our communities and our listeners, both rural and urban. It’s pleasing to know that in some small way I’ve helped accomplish that in the state of Kansas.”
