The 28th Annual National Radio Hall of Fame class of 2016 induction ceremony was held last night in Chicago where Bob Kingsley received two standing ovations and congratulatory video messages from Keith Urban and Garth Brooks.

Urban commented, “I feel like part of your family. You make everybody feel like family…thank you for everything you’ve done for me.” Kingsley choked up when he thanked his wife “with all his heart.” Delilah received a standing ovation from the crowd, whom she addressed through tears and laughter. She commented, “Radio has been my passion for as long as I can remember.”

Other highlights included Kidd Kraddick’s daughter Caroline accepting on his behalf, Caroline Beasley accepting on her father’s behalf, Tony Roberts delivering his acceptance speech in true play-by-play style and Eric and Kathy closing the evening after their standing ovation with many jokes about the ceremony running long.

The 2016 inductees are George G. Beasley, Delilah, The Jeff & Jer Showgram (Jeff Detrow, Jerry Cesak, Tommy Sablan), Eric & Kathy (Eric Ferguson and Kathy Hart), Steve Harvey, Bob Kingsley, Kidd Kraddick, Tony Roberts, Neil Rogers and Michael Savage.   Leading radio imaging and production company The Mix Group is the exclusive presenting sponsor of the 28th Annual National Radio Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.
