The New York Times is reporting that both Amazon and Pandora will introduce their new $5.00 per month streaming plans perhaps as early as this week. The goal of both companies is to put pressure on Spotify and Apple and bring in customers unwilling to pay $10.00 per month for a streaming subscription. Pandora could be first this week. Its $5 subscription service will offer customers new features like the ability to skip more unwanted songs and store several hours’ worth of playlists online.
