Normally the Home Improvement big box runs over 50,000 radio ads per week, according to Media Monitors. But last week Home Depot dropped its schedule down to 36,890 ads allowing GEICO to jump to number one with its 45,500 ads. The Home Depot occupied the number one position for 18 consecutive weeks until last week.
Walgreens was third with 29,355, followed by McDonald’s at 26,424 and AutoZone with 25,444. The biggest mover of the week was NBC Universal, jumping from 88th to 9th.
Home Depot’s e-commerce is getting most of their attention. Radio will dwindle just as print did.
