New York State Broadcasters Association President David Donovan points out that pirate radio enforcement by the FCC is way down in the last year. He provided us with the following stats from the FCC website to prove his point.

In 2016, in New York, the FCC issued 10 Notices of Unlicensed Operation warning letters; there were no forfeitures and no Notices of Apparent Liability. In 2015, the FCC issued 34 Notices of Unlicensed Operation letters, one Forfeitures Order, and one Notice of Apparent Liability.

In New Jersey, in 2016, there were eight Notices of Unlicensed Operation warning letters issued, no forfeitures, and no Notices of Apparent Liability. In 2015, there were 24 Notices of Unlicensed Operation warning letters sent, three Forfeiture Orders, and four Notice of Apparent Liability.
