This one will come as no surprise. Although nothing has been filed with the court yet, SoundExchange has stated it plans to appeal the recently approved CRB webcasting rates that went into effect this past January and run for the next four years. SoundExchange says the new rates do not reflect “a fair market price for music and will erode the value of music in our economy.” The official appeal is expected to be filed later this month or early next month.
