Beasley CFO Caroline Beasley and President Bruce Beasley open the first day of the Kellar Radio Talent Institute today on the campus of Appalachian State University in North Carolina. The ten day learning experience in all things radio includes sessions taught by broadcast professionals, including programming, on-air, sports, news, talk, digital and social media, production, promotions, voice work, writing and sales with students receiving their Radio Marketing Professionals Certification from the RAB.

Institute founder Dan Vallie said, “We have a fun, challenging, and changing industry, we need to embrace all technology to insure we continue to thrive into the 21st century, but the thing that always has and always will make the difference is people. That is why we do this, to find those young people who have a growing passion to be in the business, to connect them to the industry and the industry to them.”
