Scripps Radio Tulsa has hired Steve Hunter as the new operations manager for the station cluster, including KVOO, KHTT, KXBL, KBEZ, and KFAQ, effective immediately. Hunter spent the past 22 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as the operations manager for Cox Media Group. During his time with Cox he also served as adult contemporary format coordinator for the company’s AC stations.
“Steve has been a radio programming icon in Tulsa for the past 22 years,” said David Abel, vice president and general manager for the Tulsa station group. “Steve’s roots run very deep in the Tulsa community and his track record of performance in the market has been spectacular.
