Former WDRV PD Joins iHeart Sacramento

Curtiss Johnson has been named Senior VP of Programming for iHeart’s Sacramento cluster which includes B92.5, 93.7 JACK FM, V101.1, Talk 650 KSTE, NewsRadio KFBK, and 107.1 The Brew. Johnson has 30 years experience under his belt and most recently served as PD for 97.1 The Drive WDRV-FM in Chicago.

Johnson spent a combined 20 years in Sacramento serving as station manager and PD for KSEG, KRXQ, and KWOD. He also worked on the air at KZAP. He began his radio career at KPRI in his hometown of San Diego and served over a decade as program director and afternoon drive on-air personality at KUPD in Phoenix. During his career, Johnson has won a Marconi Radio Award and a Crystal Radio Award for Major Market Station of the Year from the National Association of Broadcasters, as well as multiple Program Director and Station of the Year honors from Billboard magazine, Radio & Records magazine, and the Gavin Report.
