Finally some movement on the AM revitalization front. As Broadcast Attorney David Oxenford details in his latest blog, the window for applications for AM owners to move FM translators up to 250 miles to rebroadcast their AM stations opens on January 29. Oxenford points out that there will be two windows. The first window opens January 29 and closes at 11:59 pm on July 28. This window is for Class C and Class D AM stations to seek to move an FM translator for use by those stations. The second window will open on July 29 and close October 31. Any AM station can file an application during that window.
