Alpha Media, Savannah-Hilton Head announced that Bob 106.9’s Tim Leary and the Morning Showgram just wrapped up their 3rd Annual “Tats for Tatas” breast cancer awareness program and raised over $16,500 in benefit of the Nancy N. & J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph’s/Candler.

Tim and his on-air co-hosts Karen “Red” Daiss and Claire Beverly covered themselves in henna tattoos of survivor names and ran the Savannah EnMarket Bridge Run on Saturday December 5 in their memory. By the end of the campaign, a total of 1,500 tattoos were painted on their bodies (800 on Leary, and 350 on Karen and Claire), and they ran as human memorials for those battling breast cancer, survivors, and those who have lost the battle.
Alpha Media Operations Manager Rob Walker commented on the announcement, “Tim Leary, Karen ‘Red’ Daiss and Claire Beverly along with our amazing listenership has surprised us again with their remarkable generosity. We couldn’t be more proud of the Showgram team and their efforts towards this amazing local cause.”
