1. NAB Condemns Senate Vote To Block New Ownership Rules
WASHINGTON -- May 16, 2008: In response to the Senate's passage of a resolution blocking revised FCC media-ownership rules, the NAB said it "strongly opposes" legislators' efforts to overturn the "exceedingly modest" rules changes.

2. 'Don't Get Your Hopes Up' Over April Revs, Says Analyst
NEW YORK -- May 16, 2008: Wachovia analyst Marci Ryvicker says April's 1 percent decline in radio revenues was the best figure in months, but says May looks more like March -- which saw an 8 percent revenue dip -- than April.

3. WYSP Fires Morning Host, PD Over Parody Song
PHILADELPHIA -- May 16, 2008: CBS Radio has fired Rock WYSP/Philadelphia morning host Kidd Chris and PD John Cook over a racist song parody performed by a guest on Chris' show in March.

4. CNET 'Jumpstarts' CBS's Online Efforts
NEW YORK -- May 16, 2008: Barrington Research analyst Jim Goss says CBS Corp.'s $1.8 billion purchase of CNET Networks will "jumpstart" CBS's "still moderate" Internet presence.

5. Copps, Adelstein Praise Senate Vote On Ownership Rules
WASHINGTON -- May 16, 2008: The Senate voted last night to block the FCC from implementing its December 2007 media-ownership rules, and FCC Commissioners Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein praised the vote, with Adelstein calling it "a great victory of the people over the powerful."

7. Radio Revenues Fall 1 Percent In April
NEW YORK -- May 16, 2008: Radio revenues fell by 1 percent in April, the RAB reports, with local off by 1 percent and national down by 5 percent.

8. Rodriguez: Univision Radio Outperformed The Competition
NEW YORK -- May 16, 2008: Univision Communications COO noted on this mornings first-quarter conference call that, with its 2.9 percent revenue increase in Q1, Univision Radio continues to outperform its competitors.

9. Univision Radio Revenues Up In Q1
NEW YORK -- May 16, 2008: Univision Radio's net revenues were up 2.9 percent in the first quarter of 2008, to $85.8 million from $83.4 million, while for parent Univision Communications, revenues were up 5.8 percent, to $458.8 million from $433.7 million.

10. Resolution To Block FCC Ownership Rules Passes In Senate
WASHINGTON -- May 15, 2008: The Senate has passed Sen. Byron Dorgan's (D-ND) resolution of disapproval blocking the FCC from implementing the new cross-ownership rules the agency adopted in December.

SAN ANTONIO -- May 15, 2008: Clear Channel is getting Classic Rocker KZEP/San Antonio as it agrees to trade Country KBKO/Bakersfield and Spanish Oldies KWID/Las Vegas to Lotus Communications.

12. Internet Advertising Tops $21 Billion In '07
NEW YORK -- May 15, 2008: Internet advertising revenue came in at $21.2 billion in 2007, according to the Internet Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers, up by 26 percent from 2006.

13. Analyst Projects April Revenues Down 1-3 Percent
NEW YORK -- May 15, 2008: April's radio revenues will be down just 1 to 3 percent, predicts CL King & Associates analyst Jim Boyle -- "much better," he says, "than we and the Street expected."

19. Analyst: Sirius Better Positioned Than XM If Satcasters Don't Merge
NEW YORK -- May 15, 2008: Barrington Research analyst Jim Goss thinks the merger of XM and Sirius is likely to be approved by the FCC, but also says Sirius will become profitable sooner than XM if the satcasters don't merge.

20. Radio One Schedules Shareholders' Meeting
WASHINGTON -- May 15, 2008: Radio One has set its annual shareholders' meeting for May 28 in Washington, DC.
