CCTTN Debuts Real-Time Traffic On HD
SAN ANTONIO -- January 5, 2009: Clear Channel Radio's Total Traffic Network is launching its real-time traffic services over HD Radio channels,and Dual Electronics has launched the first navigation device to offer the service.
The traffic data on the HD service is a combination of the Total Traffic Network and INRIX's floating car data, monitored by Clear Channel's local traffic data producers.
"We are dedicated to providing accurate traffic information in the fastest, most efficient way possible, and are proud to now offer our advanced services via HD Radio channels," said Clear Channel Radio EVP/Distribution Development Jeff Littlejohn. "Even in the largest metropolitan areas, real-time traffic information is transmitted in less than a minute, providing a quick, reliable way for drivers to get where they need to go safely."
CCTTN provides current traffic info for 125 metro areas in four countries, and has more than 750,000 paid subscribers.
