I am pleased to read that even as the station is broadcasting to a "captive audience", Jane insists on serving and being a part of the community.

Most readers might agree that this is a somewhat rare and distinct situation what with being "the only game in town", but cudos are still in order.

Hats off to WCRE! If their town is "tiny"..where does that put our town?? KLQP-FM (25KW on 92.1) has been on the air for 30 years in Madison, Minnesota (pop. 1,500). The county population is around 8,000. Community involvement is definitely the key. There are still a few of us "mom and pop" operations left...and I truly believe we are the only ones who haven't forgotten the true power of radio in a community.
