Bob Pittman inherited the "Bosso Profundo" title when he took the C.C.-gig. As such, he becomes, as Jack Palance said in one of the Batman movies, "My Number One...Guy".

No point in accusing Radio Ink of being kissy-kissy or of offering any arbitrary deference. I mean, the magazine is continuously putting up with/tolerating/allowing for my form of blasphemy - without interceding in any way.

The hard facts are that because of 17 billion dollars debt, Pittman and Clear Channel continue to lay off professionals in market after market, and replace talent with cheap low priced talent. ...And this is one of radio's most influential leaders??!! That speaks volumes about the sad state of the radio industry.
