Report: 'Net Radio, Streaming Ad Sales See Big Gains In 2007
DUBLIN -- January 16, 2008: A new report from Research and Markets projects that the market for streaming audio and video advertising grew by 40 percent in 2007, to $1.38 billion, while Internet radio's ad billings rose by 60 percent, to $66.4 million.
Additionally, Research and Markets reports that 2.1 billion to 2.7 billion audio or video streams are accessed each month. The firm estimates that "pre-roll" ads that run before video content made up 26.7 percent of gross ad spending in 2007, while embedded ad units made up 55.8 percent of gross spending.
