NEW YORK -- January 3, 2008: Sirius Satellite Radio ended 2007 with 8.3 million subscribers, up from just over 6 million at the end of 2006.
"Sirius' subscriber base increased 38 percent in 2007, and our gross subscriber additions in 2007 were the highest in the history of satellite radio," said Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin.
Karmazin added that the satcaster's 2.2 percent churn for the year was at the low end of its guidance and said Sirius expects to see positive free cash flow for Q4 2007.
Sirius plans to release its full-year 2007 results and '08 guidance next month.
