Forecast Exclusive: Media Titans Talk

On November 20, Clear Channel Communications CEO Bob Pittman will talk with Wenda Harris Millard, president and CEO of MediaLink, in an only-at-Forecast opportunity to hear a frank, informal conversation about the future of radio and digital.

Radio Ink Publisher CEO Eric Rhoads said, "Wenda Harris Millard is a true digital pioneer, starting with her early days at DoubleClick. I'm excited to hear the 'fireside chat' with her and Bob Pittman to learn about Clear Channel's strategy going forward, since it affects us all. Now that Bob has been in the CEO seat for two years, his perspective is more important than ever."

Bob Pittman joined Clear Channel in November 2010 as an investor and chairman of media and entertainment platforms, and took the CEO title in October of 2011. He oversees Clear Channel Media & Entertainment, Clear Channel Digital -- operator of iHeartRadio -- and media services including Total Traffic Network, has become one of the radio industry's highest-profile cheerleaders, emphasizing the integration of radio into fresh total entertainment platforms. Pittman has also served in his careeer as CEO of MTV Networks, AOL Networks, Six Flags Theme Parks, Quantum Media, and other organizations. He is a founding member of New York private investment firm Pilot Group LLC.

Pittman will be talking with Wenda Harris Millard, president and COO of leading strategic advisory and business development firm MediaLink, which provides counsel and direction to the media, marketing, and entertainment industries. Millard's background includes terms as co-CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, chief sales officer at Yahoo, president of Ziff Davis Internet, and a founding member of the executive team at DoubleClick. She spent 20 years as an executive in the magazine industry, at Family Circle, New York, and AdWeek.

Deborah Parenti, EVP of radio for Radio Ink parent Streamline Publishing, said, "The combination of these two top media players -- Wenda Harris Millard, recognized last year as one of the '100 Most Influential Women in Advertising in the last 100 Years,' and Bob Pittman whose influence across the industry has placed him first on Radio Ink's annual 'Top 40' list for the past three years should offer one of media's most fascinating conversations this year."
