Lotus Brings New Hosts To Bakersfield And Fresno

Lotus Communications-owned-and-operated KPSL-FM in Bakersfield and KHIT-FM in Fresno will be the new homes of The Alex “El Genio” Lucas Morning Show (pictured) and The Rosmar Vega Show (middays). Lotus Fresno GM Kevin O'Rorke says, “To have the opportunity to add these two shows is a wonderful step in building KHIT “Exitos” 107.1 FM into the next powerhouse Spanish radio station in our cluster.” Lotus Bakersfield GM Greg Holcomb added, “We’re excited to have such exceptional Spanish broadcasters joining our Lotus family.”
“El Genio” Lucas is a top Spanish personality in the central coast with more than 18 years behind the microphone. The show is a mix of music and talk that focuses on personal reflections, family values, and family educational information – key topics in the Hispanic culture. Rosmar Vega is also a ratings winner whose show offers a music-intense lunch hour as well as audience sing-along contests and other listener-driven segments.
“Radio broadcasting is my passion,” says Lucas. “I couldn’t be happier about my new home with Lotus Communications Corp. on both KPSL and KHIT, where we’ll continue to entertain and serve the needs of the Hispanic community.”
Vega says, “I’m eager about returning to Fresno and debuting in Bakersfield. I’m honored to be part of the Lotus team and look forward to connecting with all the listeners.
