Just a Few of The People Who Were let Go

In Cincinnati, Jay Gilbert lost his job. Gilbert spent nearly 40 years with the company doing afternoon drive at WEBN. He was also one of the most widely used voicetrackers at Clear Channel.

In Detroit, those that were let go, include; Frankie Darcell (WMXD afternoons), Jag (955 middays), Dan Watkins (WNIC mornings), Jenna Cork (WNIC mornings), Kristin Burns (WNIC afternoons and The D APD), Danielle Carr (WNIC weekends), Dahmer (The D afternoons), Eric Chase (WDFN afternoons).
More HERE at the Detroit news website

In Tampa, Vice President of Programming Doug Hammond wrote to his staff,  "I need to let you all know that as of today, Steve Versnick is no longer with the company.  Moving forward I will be overseeing the day to day Programming responsibilities on 620 WDAE, 970 WFLA and 1250 WHNZ in addition to my regular Operations duties.  I want to thank Steve for his many contributions these past two years and wish him nothing but the best!  We have been through many changes together in the building and have overcame them with flying colors due to YOUR professionalism and dedication to what you do, which is the best in the business."

More layoffs are expected today and we've been told, but have no way to confirm, today will focus more on management cuts. If you have lost your job and would like Radio Ink to post your information to help you find another job in the industry, we will do it at no charge. Send all details to edryantheeditor@gmail.com

I have to wonder if the shareholders are paying any attention and questioning as to whether some of these guys have lost their minds.
(I do realize that panic can motivate a lot of strange behaviors.)

Doug is a real CC suck-up, and phony. Hammond will be around as long as they need some guy to work 100 hours a week & do 15 different jobs
