Tyler Closes On Renda Cluster In OK
Kalil & Company informs Radio Ink that the Tyler Broadcasting deal to purchase Tony Renda's cluster of three FMs and one AM in Oklahoma City has closed. Renda gives up KMGL-FM, KRXO-FM, KOMA-FM, and KOKC-AM. Also part of the deal was a 24.5 percent interest in Sooner Sports Properties, a multimedia rights holder of University of Oklahoma Athletics. Tyler Broadcasting also owns three stations in Oklahoma City including 93.3 KJKE-FM, KTUZ-FM, and KEBC-AM. This deal was announced back in July and the price was $40 million.
