NJ-Owned Noncomms Up For Sale

January 28, 2011: Nine New Jersey-owned noncommercial stations are on the way to being sold, with Public Radio Capital of Colorado advising NJ State Treasurer Andrew Sidamon-Eristoff on the deal. The sales of the stations was authorized in a bill signed by Gov. Chris Christie in December.

The New Jersey Network radio stations are WNJP-FM/Sussex, WJNY-FM/Netcong, WNJT-FM/Trenton, WNJO-FM/Toms River, WNJF-FM/Berlin, WNJM-FM/Manahawkin, WNJB-FM/Bridgeton, WNJN-FM/Atlantic City, and WNJZ-FM/Cape May Court House.

The New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority reauthorized a three-month budget for the New Jersey Network, the Newark Star-Ledger reports, and Sidamon-Eristoff said he expects to have another operator in place running the network by April 1.
