John Toohey has been recruited by the company to fill the position of VP/Finance. Toohey will report directly to Executive VP/Chief Financial Officer John Abbot. He replaces David Elrod who previously held the VP/Finance position.
Toohey joins Cumulus after 12 years with Charter Communications and its predecessor, Time Warner Cable, where he was most recently Group VP, Media Sales Finance, Spectrum Reach. His media finance background also includes stints with NBC, CBS, and Cablevision.
Abbot said, “John Toohey is a high-caliber professional who brings deep and relevant experience to Cumulus. We are very excited to add such a strong player to the finance and accounting team.”
