Golden Anniversary Celebration In Big Apple For WCBS-AM

Half a century of broadcasting deserves a decent party and that’s just what WCBS-AM News Radio 880 got Tuesday night, with a packed event at NYC’s Playstation Theater. Known for its legacy of great storytelling, the all-news station brought together many of its current hosts with well-known Gotham personalities, including Paul Shaffer, Bobby Valentine, George Martin, Adam Graves, Ray Kelly and many others. The evening closed with a special Q&A with the legendary Tony Bennett, moderated by CBS News’ Anthony Mason. Each person who took the stage shared a personal story, often about their connection to NYC and News Radio 880.
