At the annual awards banquet of the Missouri Broadcasters Association, June 9-10, the Park Hills station received three first-place finishes and a certificate of merit. The station won Best Local Website for kfmosports.com; best play-by-play for the girls basketball broadcast between Fredericktown and North County in February of 2016; and, Sports for the prelude of the Central vs West County District Championship Game from 2016. KFMO also garnered a Certificate of Merit for Best Newscast for February 10, 2017.
“We are so proud of Greg Alan and Mike Reeves for their hard work and accomplishment each and every high school sports season,” said KFMO Vice President and General Manager Larry Joseph. “The website award is also very impressive considering the award encompasses radio stations of all sizes throughout the state. We are also very proud of News Director Mike Ramsey and the work he and the news department have done over the past year. It is great to be recognized by your peers.”
