This dates back to our April 12 story when we reported that iHeart Hartford morning man Joseph Aguiar was accused of assaulting a man at a gas station. According to The Hartford Courant, the 41-year-old 105.9 The River host told police when he left the gas station he thought the man was in his 2006 Honda Accord. Turns out the victim was sitting in his own 2008 Toyota Avalon.
An affidavit states that Aguiar lunged at the man, yelled at him, yanked him out of the car, threw him to the ground, then took off. The report says the victim suffered a mild concussion and police say it appeared he also suffered a seizure after being thrown to the ground. Aguiar is on leave from the station and scheduled to appear back in court in May.
