New Afternoon Man on The Job at WTIC-AM

Todd Feinburg is taking over afternoons at CBS Radio’s News/Talk station WTIC-AM in Hartford. He’ll focus on local issues, topics of the day, politics and more, and replaces Joe D and Gresh, which was a sports show.

CBS Radio Hartford Operations Manager Steve Salhany said, “Todd is a familiar voice on NewsTalk 1080 having filled in on the station across the schedule, so we are excited to officially welcome him to the WTIC family. Our listeners enjoyed Todd’s fresh perspective and energizing personality and now they will get to tune-in to him every weekday afternoon.”

Feinburg added, “Filling in for Jim and Ray I have had a chance to learn for myself what a special station WTIC is, what a wonderful audience it has and what a central role it plays in the political culture of the state. I can’t wait to get started!”

  1. Sorry, but I’m relieved. Too much hype, hollering and rudeness. Hope the replacement is better or it’s back to Middletown station. Wish Joe D the best.

  2. I feel the change will be positive. You folks have enough sports coverage, both college and professional. As much as I enjoyed listening to JoeD and Gresh every once in a while, I found myself more often tuning to Michael Medved on the local station here in Middletown. I worked with Joe many years ago when he first got started, at WLIS in Old Saybrook. He was born to be a sports broadcaster, and an EXCELLENT one he is! He will land on his feet and succeed in whatever he does in the future. Best of luck Joe!

(sorry, but I don’t know Gresh, and never heard of him before this sports show at 3 p.m., but I wish him the best of success in his new pursuits also.

p.s. I was hoping against hope that you would have brought in Clark Howard as a replacement. He presents a totally different perspective on what’s happening, is much more positive than most talk show hosts, and is a pure delight. I seem to learn something new each and every time I tune in to his show.

  3. That’s unfortunate. I really enjoyed the drive time sports. There are already plenty of these types of shows on the other stations in the afternoon. Looks like I will have find another station to listen to.
