Radio Dominates in Connected Cars

That’s according to Consultant Alan Burns who says his study of 2000 women revealed that six out of every ten women know how to connect to the Internet in their car, however radio still dominates their audio listening.

Strategic Services EVP Hal Rood says despite knowing how to connect their phones into their dashboard entertainment system, 71% of the women in the survey continue to listen to radio. “65% listen to the over the air signal of a local AM/FM station, 4% to the online stream a local station, and 2% to the stream of a station in another city. By comparison, only 14% choose to listen to a pure play streamer most, and 6% to satellite radio.”

Burns and Rood will hold another webinar on their findings this Thursday
