It took place in Jackson, Mississippi, at WMPR, which is owned by Charles Evers. According to The Clarion-Ledger the vandalism occurred just a few days after the home of Respect Our Dollars President Stanley Wesley had the same thing happen to his house, which was also set on fire. Wesley hosts a talk show on the station.

Station Manager Wanda Evers told the paper this is the first time this has ever happened and authorities are reviewing surveillance tape to see if they can find the people responsible. According to the Ledger, the people that spray-painted KKK on Wesley’s house left a note saying, “N—–s Respect Your Dollar$. STOP NOW. Message from KKK. You Took My Flag. Pay Back. Mississippi Burning.” The note then lists the names of two women before saying again, “Stop Now.” Wesley said he has no idea what the note is about.
