The Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) Group announces the opening of the application window for the 2017 Mildred Carter Mentoring Program. The program pairs up-and-coming women in the radio industry with female professionals recognized as leaders in all aspects of radio broadcasting and media. Four candidates are chosen each year from within the sales, marketing, programming, and digital disciplines. Of those, at least one spot will be designated for a programming candidate and one spot for a digital candidate.
Lindsay Cerajewski, chair of the 2017 MIW Radio Group’s Mentoring Committee and Director, Partnership Marketing and Branded Content for Emmis Digital in Chicago, said, “This provides a wonderful opportunity for mentees to gain valuable insight, knowledge and access to some of the most influential women in radio.”
MIW Spokeswoman Kay Olin added, “As always, the MIWs anticipate another outstanding program in 2017. It is very rewarding to watch our mentees grow professionally throughout the year thanks to the time, talent and wisdom shared generously by a very impressive roster of MIW mentoring volunteers.”
