102.9 The Whale and The Talk of Connecticut (1360 WDRC, 1420 WMMW, 1240 WWCO, 610 WSNG) had a record-breaking radiothon, Thursday, raising $145,000 for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Shows were broadcast from the hospital and featured interviews with patients, families, doctors, and dignitaries including Senator Richard Blumenthal.
Connoisseur Media Connecticut General Manager Kristin Okesson said, “The Radiothon is a day that really puts things in perspective. I am so proud of the Connoisseur team for breaking the previous one day total. To raise 145,000 dollars for the only freestanding children’s hospital in Connecticut is truly an honor, and the generosity of our listeners continues to impress and delight me.”
