In the weeks that followed the Boston Marathon bombing that killed three people and injured 264, Glenn Beck said on his show that Saudi Arabian student Abdulrahman Alharbi was the money man for the plot. Police interviewed Alharbi, who was injured in the bombing, and cleared him. Alharbi is suing Beck for defamation.
According to The Washington Post, Beck claimed that Alharbi recruited the two brothers who carried out the attack, and then gave them the “go order” for the bombing. He said the information came from sources from the Department of Homeland Security. And now, in that case, Judge Patti B. Saris says Beck has to reveal his sources. The state of Massachusetts does not have a shield law protecting journalists from revealing anonymous sources.
