Scripps owned KFDI in Wichita has hired former WIRK West Palm Beach, morning show veteran Tim “Tiny” Burger as co-host for its morning show. Ops Manager Justin Case said, “We’ve searched for over a year for the right person and are thrilled to have Tim become part of the KFDI family. He’s entertaining and engaging and our audiences will appreciate his energy and enthusiasm.” Current KFDI personality JJ Hayes will co-host the morning show with Burger.

In 2001, Burger became producer for the morning show and then quickly became a character on the show. In short fashion he became a full-fledged co-host. “I am beyond excited to join the incredible Scripps Wichita family and to represent the legendary call letters, KFDI. I see this as an incredible opportunity and I can’t wait to get started meeting the people of Kansas,” said Burger.
