1

Last week, the CMG Long Island station parted ways with morning hosts Dana and Jayson. On Tuesday, the station announced their replacement would be The Cooper Lawrence Show, featuring Cooper Lawrence and Anthony Michaels.

Lawrence hosted a nationally syndicated show for Dial Global and spent four years co-hosting the Big Show with Scott and Todd from 6-10 a.m. on PLJ in New York. Lawrence also worked for WHTZ, KTU, and WOR where she produced the Joan Rivers Show. On television, she co-hosted VH1’s Confessions of a Teen Idol with Scott Baio, spent two years as the relationship expert on The Tyra Banks Show and was one of the original co-hosts of Dish Nation. She is currently an entertainment reporter and writer for SheKnows.com and “Fashion Police” contributor at Us Weekly. Her podcast with Bravo TV’s Vikki Ziegler, Hollywood Hookups and Breakups, just won its first Gracie Award.

Michaels has two Gracie Awards, one Crystal Award for best radio show in the country, a Marconi Nomination, a Radio Ink “Program Director of the Year” award, and a two-time Greater Media “Employee of the Year” award.

  1. Glad to here. It is about time. Started to feel its was a station concerned more with gay issues. plus repeating shows over and over again made me feel things weren’t going well. I wish Dana and Jayson the best. Missed Steve and Marie. They seemed more Professional. Time will tell best of luck to the new morning show. I will listen.
