And its on the campus of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with opening comments from Kerby Confer. All ten days of the Institute are on campus, except for one day in Philadelphia at the CBS Radio studios, where sessions will be taught by Play-by-Play Announcers Merrill Reese of the Philadelphia Eagles, Marc Zumoff from the 76ers and Jim Jackson from the NHL Flyers.

On Friday morning, the students will be the live studio audience as Philadelphia’s 92.5 XTU Morning Crew, Andie and Frank, broadcast their show live from the Bloomsburg University campus and the Confer Radio Talent Institute.

Confer said, “We want to make a difference, to give back and give this next generation a good firm foundation in how the communications business works, not just radio; radio leads to TV, and often times, TV back to radio, to the internet; it’s all intertwined now. I think we are going to birth a whole new generation of radio people.”

Dan Vallie, Founder and President of the National Radio Talent System, said, “When you talk about the future of the industry, you have to talk about people. We have to embrace technology…and should…and ultimately technology levels the playing field when everyone embraces it….but it always has been and always will be people that make the difference. That is why we do the Radio Talent Institutes, to have that talent farm of talented, well-rounded, young people the industry wants and needs.”
