The NAB made it clear it was not happy with FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler’s plan to leave the current ownership rules in place. VP of Communications Dennis Wharton said the idea the FCC would not modernize the rules was indefensible and called for meaningful reform. On Thursday, in a Freedom of Information request, the NAB asked the FCC to provide all studies, reports, articles, presentations, empirical data, surveys and/or Internet sources it used to develop its broadcast ownership regulations.
