ABC Radio VP and GM Steve Jones makes the announcement that Goldberg has been named the midday Information Network anchor for ABC News Radio, filling the role previously held by Cheri Preston. Preston took over the morning drive anchor duties for the ABC News Radio Information Network. Goldberg will anchor national newscasts during middays each weekday.
In 2015, Goldberg received the national Edward R. Murrow Award for writing. He also was a member of the teams that won the Edward R. Murrow Award for ABC News Radio’s coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings and Overall Excellence in 2014 and 2015. Prior to joining ABC News, Scott received five Emmys and two regional Murrows.
