News Director Drops Restraining Order Against Assistant

KSFR is a Public Radio station in Santa Fe. News director Zelie Pollon (pictured) has withdrawn her request for a restraining order against the station’s former assistant news director, Tom Trowbridge. According to The Santa Fe New Mexican, on February 18 Pollon claimed Trowbridge threatened her life.

The paper says Trowbridge believes the petition probably stemmed from a comment he made to a freelance reporter in reference to Pollon and the station’s GM in which he said he was feeling “very angry and feeling like I could slice them up.”

On February 26, Pollon said she no longer wished to pursue the matter “at this time” but wanted the case dismissed without prejudice so she would be able to pursue it at a later date if necessary. The judge granted her request. The reasons she’s no longer pursuing the matter are because Trowbridge was let go and the incident was made public
